Ayurvedagram Bali is quite different from spas that you might be used to.
In Western culture, spas are a haven for indulging in pampering and luxury. But an Ayurvedic wellness centre is so much more. Here, you’ll undergo traditional Ayurvedic therapies prescribed by our Ayurvedic doctor. These therapies promote deep-seated healing and restore your body, mind and spirit
Synchronized Medicated Oil Massage
Is a traditional Ayurvedic practice. Its primary goal is to pacify the tridoshas, leading to a relaxed and balanced state of the body and mind. Our signature synchronised Abhyanga makes use of warm oils that have been infused with dosha-specific healing herbs. This massage aims to relieve stiffness, calm the nervous system, loosen accumulated toxins in the tissues, and direct them towards elimination.
Uses medicated herbal decoctions to induce sweat or perspiration after (Snehana), oil application. An integral part of Panchakarma, but not limited to it, Svedana is considered a potent tool for eliminating toxins from the body and establishing a balanced state. It has numerous health benefits, such as relieving muscle aches and pains, softening tissues, improving blood circulation, accelerating metabolism and also aids in weight loss.
Herbal Topical Application
Involves topical application of an Ayurvedic medicated paste on the part of the body that is inflamed or in pain. Conditions like gout, arthritis and skin imbalances such as acne, psoriasis, wounds, ulcers, etc., respond well to a thick layer of medicated herb paste applied onto the affected area. The herbs and spices used have highly anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties that bring much sought-after relief.
Herbal Poultice Massage
Is a traditional Ayurvedic massage technique that involves use of heated medicinal herb poultices to relieve pain and inflammation of the muscles, joints and bones. The heat generated during the massage helps soothe the aggravated vata, which in turn reduces soreness and tension in the muscles. This massage is particularly effective in treating chronic backaches, arthritis, skin conditions, migraines and chronic stress or anxiety.
Ayurvedagram Bali takes the Ayurvedic precept of "Let food be thy medicine" seriously. Is a therapeutic procedure that helps to alleviate stress, improve sleep and reduce anxiety. During the treatment, a continuous flow of liquid (depending on your needs), medicated oil, ghee, milk, or buttermilk, is poured over the forehead. The experience is very soothing and is meant to calm Vata dosha. Its effectiveness has been proven in addressing chronic stress, sleep deprivation and diabetic neuropathy among many other neurological conditions.
Dry Herbal Powder Rub
Is a therapy that uses herbal powders such as Triphala, Horse gram, Pepper roots and Ginger. This full-body treatment aims to stimulate the lymphatic system, enhance circulation, balance kapha and aid in detoxification by moving the toxins towards the gastrointestinal tract to be expelled. Used extensively in Ayurvedic treatments to break down stagnant fat and encourage weight loss.
Warm medicated oil is poured on the crown of the head and retained using an elongated cap for a prescribed period of time. This therapy stimulates optimal functioning of the brain and calms the mind. Is especially beneficial in psychosomatic problems, depression, nervous disorders and migraine.
Medicated Herbal Pack
Involves application of an herbal paste on the affected area, followed by covering it with leaves of Calotropis procera. The leaves are held in place for a specified time to facilitate transdermal absorption of the active herbal components. This therapy is highly beneficial in easing stiff joints, reducing chronic swelling, and treating degenerative conditions such as arthritis.
